A 30-year-old British tourist was found dead in his hotel room in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, on Tuesday evening around 9 p.m. Police have ruled out criminal activity and a preliminary autopsy performed by state pathologist Aggeliki Papetta did not reveal a cause of death. Witnesses indicated that the man and his friends had been consuming large amounts of alcohol throughout the day. Samples from the body have been sent for further laboratory testing to determine the exact cause of death. The case is under investigation, and the UK Foreign Office has been contacted for comment. This incident follows a similar tragedy involving another British man found dead in Cyprus weeks earlier after falling from a hotel balcony.
