Clearwater police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery outside a Publix grocery store at 1295 S. Missouri Avenue. Around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, the suspects, who were on bicycles, grabbed a gun from an armed security guard's holster, causing the guard to fall and sustain minor injuries. The suspects then fled the scene on their bicycles. The security guard was treated at a local hospital. Police have released photos of the suspects and are asking anyone with information to contact the Clearwater Police Department at 727-562-4242.
