Raphael Ezeamaka Arrested After SEPTA Bus Shooting
Eighteen-year-old Raphael Ezeamaka has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in connection with a shooting on a SEPTA bus that injured three women on October 8. After a verbal dispute on the bus, Ezeamaka allegedly fired multiple shots into the vehicle, striking a 29-year-old, a 56-year-old, and a 60-year-old, all of whom are expected to recover. The U.S. Marshals tracked him to an apartment in Middletown, Delaware, where he attempted to flee from a second-floor balcony but was apprehended without incident. He faces charges including attempted homicide and aggravated assault, and is currently held at the Howard Young Correctional Institution awaiting extradition to Philadelphia. Supervisory Deputy Marshal Robert Clark emphasized the commitment to pursuing violent crime fugitives aggressively. A reward of up to $5,000 was previously announced for information leading to his capture.
