Lane Reductions Begin Aug. 4 on Red Arrow Highway, DeMers Avenue, I-690, Normal Roads

Several lane closures and roadwork projects are scheduled to begin across different U.S. locations starting August 4. In Berrien County, Michigan, Red Arrow Highway will have lane restrictions and a reconfiguration from four lanes to three between Bridgman and the DC Cook Nuclear Plant for resurfacing and drainage improvements, with completion expected by November. In Grand Forks, North Dakota, lane restrictions on DeMers Avenue will occur over two weeks due to bridge bearing replacements on the Columbia Road overpass, part of a $12 million rehabilitation project. Syracuse, New York, will see a lane reduction on eastbound Interstate 690 for bridge work during weekday mornings through August 8. Meanwhile, Normal, Illinois, will experience lane reductions on West Hovey Avenue, South Parkside Road, and West Beaufort Street for pavement repairs, with work expected to conclude by midweek. All projects emphasize caution for drivers, with some noting doubled fines for speeding in work zones.
