Robert Englund, the iconic actor known for portraying Freddy Krueger, has confirmed he will not reprise the role in any new live-action Nightmare on Elm Street films, citing his age and physical limitations at 77 years old. In a recent interview, he expressed that he lacks the ability to perform the demanding scenes required for the character, stating, 'I literally don’t' have another film in him. Although he is open to cameo roles in potential reboots, specifically suggesting a part in a remake of Dream Warriors, he emphasized that he feels 'too old' to don the character's persona again. Englund did indicate a willingness to voice Freddy in an animated version, highlighting the potential for a revitalization of the franchise through this format.
