Free Summer Concert Series Launch Nationwide

Communities across the U.S. are hosting free summer concert series and events, highlighting local music and traditions. The Pekin Park Concert Band begins its 98th season with a dedication at the new Steven D. Skinner Performing Arts Venue in Mineral Springs Park. Madison’s Capitol City Band marks Juneteenth and a leadership transition with a special concert in Rennebohm Park. New Canaan’s Waveny Summer Concerts start June 18, featuring acts like The Tom Duffy Band and Gunsmoke and spanning genres from folk to country. Springfield's Walker Memorial Grandstand hosts the Third Annual Starfires Summer Classic on June 22, including a free youth baseball clinic and performance by the Frank Manzi Band. Most events are free and open to the public, with rain dates or alternate venues as needed.
