Good Samaritan Rescues Kidnapped 9-Year-Old in Jacksonville

A 9-year-old boy selling water on a Jacksonville street was kidnapped by 22-year-old Mikaya Williams, who forced him into her car after he refused to comply. A family friend witnessing the incident quickly followed Williams’ vehicle and rescued the boy by removing him from the car and blocking the suspect’s vehicle until police arrived. Williams was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree felony kidnapping. The boy was safely reunited with his family following the rescue. Authorities praised the quick-thinking Good Samaritan whose actions prevented a potentially tragic outcome. Williams is being held at Duval County Jail without bond as the investigation continues.
