Multiple US States Implement Road, Bridge Closures for Repairs

Several road and bridge closures and repairs are underway across various U.S. states, impacting local traffic and commutes. In Martin County, North Carolina, Smithwick Creek Church Road will be closed from July 7 to October 17 for replacement of Bridge #22, with detours provided via Gilbert Ward Road and Thurman Griffin Road. Tennessee has reopened 47 of 49 roads and bridges damaged by Hurricane Helene flooding, including the Broad Street Bridge in Elizabethton, though two closures remain on State Road 353 and State Road 159/US 321. Mahoning County, Ohio, will see multiple closures starting July 7, including Silica Road for about 30 days and a short closure of E. Garfield Road for culvert replacement, both with designated detours. In Cole County, Missouri, lane and intersection closures near West Edgewood Drive and Wildwood Drive will occur intermittently through the week due to bridge construction tied to the Wildwood Drive Extension project. Additionally, in Mason City, Iowa, westbound lanes of Highway 122 will be reduced to one lane starting June 30 for storm sewer repairs, with motorists advised to seek alternate routes.
