Mesa Labs Q4 Loss Triggers Share Price Drop
Mesa Laboratories reported a fiscal fourth-quarter net loss of $7.1 million, which led to a 12% drop in its share price and extended its year-to-date losses to approximately 24%. Despite the loss, adjusted quarterly earnings were $2.25 per share with revenue rising 5.5% to $62.1 million, narrowly beating some analyst estimates while missing others. For fiscal year 2025, revenue reached $241 million, up 11.5%, driven by organic growth, acquisitions, and no repeat of last year’s large impairment charges. The company reduced inventories, paid down debt, and reported that 52% of annual revenue came from international markets. CEO Gary Owens noted continued core organic growth and strong bookings, though profitability was impacted by higher performance-based compensation costs. Despite operational improvements, ongoing muted profitability and recent stock underperformance remain concerns for investors.
