Bilt Adds Travel, Loan Partners to Rewards Program

Bilt Rewards has expanded its loyalty program, allowing members to earn and redeem points on both rent and student housing payments, as well as student loans. A new partnership with Southwest Airlines enables Bilt members to transfer points to Southwest Rapid Rewards at a 1-to-1 ratio, broadening travel redemption options. Through collaboration with American Campus Communities, students can earn points on housing payments at Baylor University, with plans for a broader rollout to up to 140,000 students. Members can redeem points for student loan payments with servicers including Nelnet, MOHELA, Sallie Mae, Aidvantage, and Navient, with additional partners expected. The redemption rate for loan payments is 1,000 points per $10, offering an alternative way to address student debt. These moves are part of Bilt's strategy to make its rewards program more flexible and relevant for younger consumers facing high rent and student loan burdens.
