Russian General Igor Kirillov Killed in Moscow Explosion

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of Russia's Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces, was killed in a bombing on December 17 in Moscow, alongside his assistant. This incident involved an improvised explosive device placed on a scooter near his residence, confirmed by the Russian Investigative Committee. Just a day before his death, Kirillov was accused by Ukraine's SBU of deploying banned chemical weapons in the ongoing conflict, raising suspicions about the motive behind the attack. Kirillov had gained notoriety for his controversial claims regarding U.S. biological weapons in Ukraine and had been sanctioned for his role in the war.
