Fluence Opens 35GWh Automated Battery Facility Vietnam

Fluence Energy, in partnership with ACE Engineering, has launched a state-of-the-art automated battery storage manufacturing facility in Bac Giang Province, Vietnam, with an annual production capacity of 35 GWh. This facility will produce Fluence's flagship Gridstack Pro and Smartstack energy storage systems, enhancing productivity and safety through automation and meeting growing global demand. The expansion is a strategic move to strengthen Fluence's global market position, leveraging Vietnam’s cost benefits and proximity to battery supply chains in Asia. Despite this growth, Fluence is projected to hit the lower end of its 2025 revenue guidance due to delays in ramping up production at U.S. sites, and has recently fallen out of the top five global BESS system integrators by shipment rankings. Analysts remain cautiously optimistic, with an average one-year price target of $7.58 and a 'Hold' consensus rating, while GuruFocus estimates a significant upside potential of over 138% based on its proprietary valuation metric. Fluence’s CEO emphasized that the new facility represents the next level of manufacturing excellence, aiming to meet stringent customer requirements and deliver competitively at scale.
