Alaska Airlines Expands Portland-Houston Route

Alaska Airlines will commence new nonstop flights from Portland International Airport to Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport on May 15, marking its largest unserved city from Portland and competing with United Airlines. This expansion includes twice-daily flights between Portland and Eugene, as well as a new route between San Diego and Medford. The airline aims to strengthen its Oregon connections, offering increased frequencies on existing routes and introducing year-round services. Alaska Airlines has been Portland's largest carrier for over 20 years and continues to focus on connecting Oregon with broader national and international destinations.
