Travis Hunter Wins 2024 Heisman Trophy

Travis Hunter, a two-way star at the University of Colorado, has made history by winning the 2024 Heisman Trophy, becoming the first player since Charles Woodson in 1997 to excel as both a defensive and offensive player. Hunter, who previously helped Collins High School win its first state championship, led the Big 12 with 92 receptions and 14 receiving touchdowns while also securing four interceptions on defense. During the award ceremony, he received 2,231 points, leading the voting over Boise State's Ashton Jeanty and other prominent players. His accolades this season include the Associated Press College Football Player of the Year and both the Biletnikoff and Bednarik Awards, recognizing him as the best receiver and defensive player, respectively. Hunter's unique dual-threat capability has drawn comparisons to modern sports icons, showcasing his generational talent. He is only the second player from Colorado to win the Heisman, with the last being Rashaan Salaam in 1994.
