Weston Cage Pleads Not Guilty to Assault Charges

Weston Cage Coppola, son of actor Nicolas Cage, has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault with a deadly weapon stemming from an alleged incident involving his mother, Christina Fulton, in April 2024. Fulton claims that Weston attacked her during a mental health crisis, resulting in serious injuries, including a swollen jaw and facial bruising. Despite her calls for police to detain him for a mental health evaluation, they did not do so, prompting Fulton to file a lawsuit against her son. Following the incident, a protective order was issued prohibiting Weston from contacting his mother. Outside the courthouse, Weston controversially stated that 'she needs help' in response to his mother's remarks about his mental health. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 19, 2024.
