Led by captain Ravichandran Ashwin, who scored 52 runs off 46 balls, the Dragons successfully chased down a target of 130 with ten balls to spare. The match was marked by a disciplined bowling performance from Dindigul, with Sandeep Warrier, Varun Chakravarthy, and P Vignesh each taking two wickets to restrict the Kings to 129 for 7. Despite a shaky start in their innings, Ashwin's partnership with Baba Indrajith (32 off 35) stabilized the chase. Sarath Kumar finished the game in style, hitting a six to seal their historic victory. Ashwin's all-round performance earned him the 'Player of the Match' accolade, as he also bowled four overs for just 13 runs.
