Bridgeport Man Arrested For 125 MPH DUI Driving On I-95 Milford

Jose Gonzalez, a 23-year-old Bridgeport man, was arrested early Sunday after Connecticut State Police clocked him driving a gray Honda Civic at speeds up to 125 mph on I-95 southbound in Milford. Troopers initiated a traffic stop near Exit 38 after observing Gonzalez's excessive speed and noted clear signs of impairment, including red, glassy eyes and the odor of alcohol. Gonzalez failed standardized field sobriety tests and chemical testing at Troop G later revealed his blood alcohol content was nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08. He was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving, processed at Troop G, and released on a $1,000 bond. Gonzalez is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court later this month.
