Despite losing early wickets in their chase, Afghanistan stabilized with key partnerships, particularly from Gulbadin Naib and Azmatullah Omarzai, to reach their target in 26 overs. This victory also avenged Afghanistan's previous loss to South Africa in the T20 World Cup semi-final.
