M62, A3, M23, A23, A27 face weekend closures across UK

National Highways has announced a weekend-long closure of the westbound M62 between junctions 12 and 11 for resurfacing work, beginning Saturday night and lasting until Monday morning. This follows an incomplete repair attempt in February, with the current work aimed at reducing congestion in Manchester. During the closures, drivers are advised to use designated diversion routes via the M60, M56, and M6. In Surrey, the A3 will also be closed from Friday night to Monday morning to facilitate junction upgrades on the M25, with various alternative routes provided for motorists. These closures are expected to minimize disruption during a relatively quiet weekend in the region. Additional maintenance work will be performed during the closures to enhance road safety and reliability.
