Barber Park Assault Suspect Sought; Reported Gunpoint

Orange County deputies are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a woman early on Nov. 1 between about 3:50 and 4 a.m. near Barber Park at 3700–3701 Gatlin Avenue. Some accounts say the assault was committed at gunpoint. The suspect was last seen walking eastbound on Gatlin Avenue wearing all black and is described as roughly 6 feet tall, 180–200 pounds, and speaking with a heavy Haitian Creole accent. The sheriff’s office has increased patrols and detectives are canvassing the area; officials have not disclosed details about the victim.
