On Sunday, the Guruvayur Sreekrishna Temple hosted a record 334 weddings, starting at 4 a.m. to accommodate a high volume of ceremonies. To manage the significant rush, the temple authorities set up six mandapams (wedding pavilions) and provided tokens to wedding parties to ensure smooth operations. By noon, 333 weddings were completed, with one additional ceremony held post-lunch. Special arrangements were made for crowd control by over 100 police officers and temple staff, ensuring both the weddings and visitor darshan proceeded efficiently. This event coincided with the auspicious Choti Nakshatra, attracting a large number of devotees and wedding attendees. Despite the high number of weddings, the temple experienced a lower than usual crowd of devotees until the afternoon.
