Jamie Krents Promoted to Verve CEO

Universal Music's Verve Label Group has promoted Jamie Krents to CEO and President, and Dawn Olejar to Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. In their new roles, they will oversee the strategy for a roster that includes notable artists like Jon Batiste and Samara Joy, as well as storied labels such as Impulse! Records and Decca Records US. Both executives will report to Dickon Stainer, who retains his position as Chairman of Verve while also serving as Chairman and CEO of Universal Music UK. Krents, who has been with Verve since 1998, is noted for his contributions to the label's Grammy-winning successes and artist development, while Olejar has been instrumental in the label's strategic direction. Stainer praised their promotions, highlighting their commitment to nurturing talent and leading the group into the future. The pair will continue to work from Verve's New York offices.
