The Minister has emphasized the need for a thorough investigation and immediate action against any negligent staff, assuring the public that accountability measures will be enforced. The facility's management has been criticized for poor living conditions and lack of adequate medical care, with the resignations in the social welfare department exacerbating oversight issues. The BJP has condemned the government for the ongoing deaths and has attempted to protest at the shelter, which they were denied access to. The National Commission for Women has also launched a fact-finding mission to investigate the situation further.
