Suspect Stabs Off-Duty Officer After Hit-and-Run in Georgia

The incident began when Justin Perry Hurst allegedly struck the officer's Chevy Silverado with his Dodge Charger on I-20 and fled the scene. The officer followed Hurst into a parking lot, where a verbal argument ensued, leading to Hurst stabbing the officer multiple times before fleeing in a white 2019 Volkswagen Passat. The officer was hospitalized, and while the extent of their injuries is unclear, they are receiving medical treatment. Hurst, who has ties to Alpharetta, is considered armed and dangerous, and authorities are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact them. Hurst's last known vehicle is a white Volkswagen Passat with Georgia tag CWC3082.
