Jeremiah Mullins Arrested for Attempted Kidnapping
Jeremiah Samuel Mullins, a 31-year-old Denver resident, was arrested by Westminster Police on October 25 for attempting to abduct a 14-year-old girl who was walking to school. The girl reported that a man in a silver vehicle threatened her with a gun and demanded she get in, but she refused and he fled with her backpack. Following the incident, police apprehended Mullins at the 12000 block of North Melody Drive and recovered a handgun. Investigations revealed Mullins is also linked to multiple prior crimes, leading to charges of aggravated robbery, kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, aggravated motor vehicle theft, and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. A cash-only bond of $1 million has been set for Mullins, who has a history of violent offenses, including a 2019 kidnapping for which he was sentenced to 12 years in prison. The police initially withheld information about the arrest to protect the integrity of their investigation.
