Pony AI Secures EU Permit for Level 4 Robotaxi Testing in Luxembourg

Pony AI Inc. has received a permit from Luxembourg’s Ministry of Mobility and Public Works to conduct Level 4 Robotaxi testing, marking its first dedicated European research and testing hub. This initiative, in partnership with local mobility provider Emile Weber, aims to integrate autonomous vehicle technology with Luxembourg's transportation systems. CEO Dr. James Peng emphasized the importance of Luxembourg’s regulatory framework and innovative environment for their operations in Europe. The move follows Pony AI's existing testing permits in China, the U.S., and South Korea, showcasing its commitment to expanding its global footprint. The Luxembourg government has expressed strong support for such innovations to enhance transportation safety and efficiency. Meanwhile, Pony AI continues to advance its operations in Shenzhen, having recently launched fully driverless commercial Robotaxi services in the Nanshan District.
