Anne Frank Exhibit Enriches Holocaust Remembrance in NYC

The Center for Jewish History in New York is hosting 'Anne Frank: The Exhibition', a full-scale recreation of the secret annex where Anne Frank and her family hid during World War II. Opening on January 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the exhibit is the first of its kind outside Amsterdam, showcasing over 100 artifacts, including Anne's diary, postcards, and personal items. The exhibition aims to provide a deeply immersive educational experience, emphasizing remembrance and the importance of learning from the past, and commemorates the six million Jews and 1.5 million Jewish children murdered during the Holocaust. The exhibition will run until April 30, aligning with the 80th anniversary of Auschwitz's liberation. Visitors will see detailed recreations of the annex, including Anne's room and the shared spaces of the Frank and van Pels families, providing fresh insights into their harrowing two-year hiding experience.
