Manchester United submits improved £60m bid for Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United have submitted an improved bid exceeding £60 million for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo after an initial offer of £55 million was rejected earlier this month. Mbeumo, who scored a career-best 20 goals and provided up to nine assists last season, has become a top priority for United head coach Ruben Amorim as the club looks to strengthen its attacking options following the £62.5 million signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves. The 25-year-old Cameroon international is entering the final year of his contract, though Brentford hold an option to extend it by 12 months, and is also attracting interest from Tottenham and other Champions League clubs. United are keen to finalize the deal before pre-season begins on July 7, aiming to address their goal-scoring difficulties from the previous campaign, when they managed just 44 Premier League goals. Talks between the clubs are ongoing, with Brentford reportedly seeking at least a similar fee to Cunha's transfer. Mbeumo’s versatility and proven Premier League experience are seen as crucial assets for United’s ambitions next season.
