Juveniles Arrested in Seattle, New Bedford Stabbings

Two separate incidents involving juveniles and violent stabbings occurred recently in the United States. In West Seattle, a 17-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times during an early morning burglary on July 5; police arrested a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy on July 8 in connection with the attack. The victim was hospitalized in serious but stable condition, and the Seattle Police Homicide and Assault Unit continues to investigate the case. Meanwhile, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, a 63-year-old man was stabbed and robbed at Custom House Square on July 8; police arrested two juveniles, one charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60, assault and battery, and armed robbery, while the other was taken into custody due to an unrelated active warrant. The injured man was treated for non-life-threatening wounds, and the arrested juvenile was transported to the Brockton Department of Youth Services. Both police departments have requested public assistance and are continuing their investigations.
