Students Charged for School Threats in Multiple States

Several students across different states have been arrested and charged with making threats of violence against their schools through social media. In Chesterfield County, VA, a 13-year-old boy was charged with felony threats after posting about a shooting at Salem Church Middle School. In Jeffersonville, IN, a 12-year-old Parkview Middle School student was arrested for making similar threats, leading to increased police presence. In St. Augustine, FL, a 12-year-old from Sebastian Middle School was charged with felony threats following a high-risk assessment. A 17-year-old in Henry County, VA, confessed to a bomb hoax against Magna Vista High School. A 15-year-old Crosby High School student in Waterbury, CT, was charged for making a non-credible shooting threat. Lastly, in Dutchess County, NY, a 19-year-old was charged with terroristic threats against a student at Our Lady of Lourdes High School.
