DiFACTO Acquires RoboFinish IPR from Grind Master to Expand Global Robotics Portfolio

DiFACTO Robotics and Automation Pvt. Ltd., based in Bengaluru and backed by StakeBoat Capital, has acquired the Intellectual Property Rights portfolio of RoboFinish from Aurangabad’s Grind Master. RoboFinish, developed over 14 years by Grind Master, includes advanced robotic technologies for grinding, deburring, finishing, and machining, with over 150 systems delivered globally. Grind Master, founded by Milind and Mohini Kelkar, holds over 30 patents in metal finishing and has been a pioneer in the field for four decades. DiFACTO, founded in 2007 by Ajay Gopalaswamy and others, operates manufacturing units in Bengaluru and Pune, a sales office in Gurugram, and a US subsidiary in Michigan, serving industries such as automotive, transportation, and consumer goods. The acquisition is part of DiFACTO’s aggressive growth strategy to integrate RoboFinish’s technologies into its solutions, enhancing its global market reach and continuing support for existing RoboFinish customers. Both companies expressed confidence that the deal will expand the technologies' development and customer base internationally.
