A woman in Fort Collins, Colorado, was shot in the leg early Monday morning while attempting to confront two men breaking into her car. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. after a family member alerted her to the situation outside. Upon her confrontation, one of the suspects fired multiple shots, injuring her before fleeing the scene. The suspects, described as armed and dangerous, were wearing dark clothing and backpacks. Fort Collins Police are urging the community to check home security footage from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. for any suspicious activity and to report any related incidents. The victim was treated at a local hospital and has since been released.
