Major Film Festivals Unveil 2025 Lineups Across U.S.

The Miami Film Festival has announced its 42nd edition set for April 3-13, featuring nearly 200 films, including 35 world premieres. Highlights include the opening film 'Meet the Barbarians' by Julie Delpy, who will receive the festival’s Impact Award. In downtown Cairo, the Zawya Short Film Festival will run from March 12-26, offering a prize pool of EGP 90,000 across several categories, led by a jury of prominent Egyptian filmmakers. Meanwhile, the New Directors/New Films festival will take place from April 2-13 at MoMA, showcasing 24 features and nine shorts, including award-winning works that address themes of community, political issues, and human connection.
