Allen Park Man Charged with Grandmother's Murder, Body Disposed in Detroit

Ian Andrew Sharpe, a 31-year-old man from Allen Park, Michigan, has been charged with first-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and removing a dead body without permission after allegedly fatally stabbing his 84-year-old grandmother, Patricia Anderson, on April 16. Authorities say the attack took place at a residence on Allen Pointe Drive, after which Sharpe moved Anderson's body to a field in Detroit, where it was found several days later. Sharpe was arrested the day after the stabbing and was arraigned in 24th District Court, where he was remanded to jail without bond. The motive for the crime has not been disclosed, and further details are expected to emerge in future court proceedings. Sharpe has a prior felony record, including convictions for weapons and arson. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 28.
