John Aprea, the versatile actor known for his roles in 'The Godfather Part II' and 'Full House,' has died at 83 of natural causes at his Los Angeles home on August 5, according to his manager, Will Levine. Born in New Jersey in 1941 to Italian immigrants, Aprea began his acting career in the late 1960s with a notable role in 'Bullitt.' His portrayal of young Salvatore Tessio in 'The Godfather Part II' helped launch his career. Over five decades, Aprea took on numerous tough-guy roles in films and TV, including parts in 'Another World' and 'The Bay.' He also played John Stamos' father in 'Full House' and its Netflix reboot, 'Fuller House.' Aprea is survived by his wife Betsy Graci, daughter Nicole, and stepchildren Marika Parker and Valentino Graci.
