Trail Blazers' Robert Williams III Out 4-6 Weeks After Knee Surgery

Portland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III has undergone an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, effectively sidelining him for the remainder of the regular season. This surgery addresses ongoing inflammation, a recurring issue for Williams, who has played only 20 games this season due to various injuries. With the Blazers unlikely to qualify for the postseason, the chance of his return diminishes, although there is a slim possibility if they make a deep playoff run. Williams has struggled with health issues throughout his career, failing to play more than 60 games in a single season. Despite his limited appearances, he has averaged 5.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks this year.
