Corey Heim Becomes First Development Driver for 23XI Racing
Corey Heim has signed a multi-year development deal with 23XI Racing, making him the team's first development driver. The 22-year-old, who is part of the Toyota Driver Development Program, will compete in select NASCAR Cup Series events this season, starting at Kansas Speedway in May, and also run multiple Xfinity Series races with Sam Hunt Racing. Heim expressed his excitement about joining 23XI, highlighting the team's impressive success in a short timeframe and his eagerness to learn from them. He has previously achieved 12 wins in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and will also serve as a reserve driver for 23XI. Veteran crew chief Bootie Barker will lead Heim's efforts in the Cup Series, while Heim aims to strengthen his relationship with Toyota throughout his development. His first race in the Xfinity Series will be at the Circuit of the Americas, marking his return to the series after a successful stint last season.
