Missouri Coach Eli Drinkwitz Named to Dodd Trophy Preseason Watchlist

Missouri Tigers head coach Eli Drinkwitz has been named to the 2025 Dodd Trophy Preseason Watch List, recognizing him as one of 26 FBS head coaches who exemplify success on the field alongside scholarship, leadership, and integrity. This marks the second consecutive year Drinkwitz has earned this honor, having been a finalist in 2023. Under his leadership, Missouri has achieved back-to-back 10-win seasons and compiled a 27-7 home record, the best in program history, while his overall record stands at 38-24. The Dodd Trophy, named after Georgia Tech coach Bobby Dodd, has never been awarded to a Missouri head coach before. The Southeastern Conference has strong representation with eight coaches on the watch list, including Drinkwitz, who will face three SEC rivals during the 2025 season. As Drinkwitz enters his sixth season, he aims to maintain Missouri's rising profile despite needing to replace key players at several positions.
