Fisher, Nuguse Set Records at Millrose Games

American athletes Grant Fisher and Yared Nuguse set new world indoor records at the 2025 Millrose Games in New York. Fisher, 27, broke the 3,000 meters record with a time of 7:22.91, surpassing the previous mark set by Lamecha Girma, while his competitor Cole Hocker also finished under the previous record but placed second. Nuguse, 25, claimed the mile record with a time of 3:46.63, beating Yomif Kejelcha's long-standing record. Both records were achieved with intense final sprints, highlighting the athletes' speed and endurance. These victories add to their Olympic successes, with Fisher having won bronze in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters in Paris 2024, and Nuguse securing a bronze in the Olympics as well.
