Barnegat man charged with child pornography offenses

Fabian Lugo, a 27-year-old man from Barnegat, NJ, has been charged with possession of child pornography after an investigation led by the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The investigation began with a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which indicated that Lugo was uploading images of child sexual abuse through an internet application. A search warrant executed at his home resulted in the discovery of numerous child sexual abuse images on his electronic devices. Lugo has since been transferred to Ocean County Jail. The investigation involved collaboration with multiple law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
