Canada's Jonathan David nears Juventus free transfer

Canadian striker Jonathan David has agreed to join Juventus on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Lille, where he scored 109 goals in 231 games and helped win the Ligue 1 title in 2020-2021. The 25-year-old, Canada’s all-time leading scorer with 34 goals in 63 appearances, will become Juventus’ first summer signing as the club looks to improve after a trophyless 2024-25 season and a recent exit from the Club World Cup.
