Rivian has launched the California Dune Edition, a limited edition variant of its R1S SUV and R1T pickup, aimed at enhancing off-road capabilities and aesthetics. Available exclusively in the tri-motor configuration, these models boast 850 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of just 2.9 seconds. Key features of the California Dune Edition include unique 20-inch wheels, a spare tire, reinforced underbody protection, and accessories like Maxtrax recovery boards. The vehicles come in a distinctive sandy paint color and feature a two-tone interior designed for easy cleaning of sand. Pricing starts at $107,700 for the R1S and $101,700 for the R1T, with orders already open for this limited production run.
