Ben Youngs to Retire After 2024-25 Season
Ben Youngs, England's most-capped men's rugby player with 127 international appearances, has announced that he will retire from professional rugby at the end of the 2024-25 season. The 35-year-old scrum-half has spent his entire club career at Leicester Tigers, making 332 senior appearances and winning five Premiership titles. Youngs played in four Rugby World Cups, was part of the 2013 British & Irish Lions tour, and captained Leicester during the 2014/15 season. Despite receiving offers to continue his career elsewhere, including from France, he has decided to finish his career with Leicester. He made his retirement announcement through social media and his podcast, stressing his intent to focus on finishing the season strongly. Youngs' retirement will mark the end of an 18-year professional rugby career.
