Driver Seriously Injured in Fiery Police Chase Crash Merrimack NH

Early on May 30, 2025, a high-speed police chase occurred on the southbound F.E. Everett Turnpike in Merrimack, New Hampshire, when a driver in a 2018 Infiniti Q50 passed a state trooper at over 140 mph and refused to stop. The pursuit ended when the driver lost control, leaving the roadway and crashing into a tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire. Emergency responders, including state police, Merrimack Police, and fire rescue personnel, quickly controlled the fire and extracted the driver, who was trapped for over 30 minutes. The seriously injured driver was airlifted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston for treatment. The crash temporarily closed all southbound lanes of the turnpike, with the highway reopening shortly after. No other injuries were reported, and authorities continue to investigate the incident.
