Alaska Pilot Delivers Thanksgiving Turkeys by Air

Esther Keim has initiated the 'Alaska Turkey Bomb', a charitable effort to deliver frozen turkeys to residents living off the grid in rural Alaska. Inspired by her childhood experience of receiving airdropped turkeys from a family friend, Keim began this mission after hearing about a neighbor's struggle to find food during harsh winters. This year, she is set to deliver 32 turkeys, having already completed most of the deliveries despite challenges posed by unpredictable weather. Keim hopes to expand her initiative to include toys and other gifts for children in remote areas, aiming to spread joy during the holidays. The operation underscores the resilience and community spirit among Alaskans living in isolated conditions, where traditional grocery delivery is often impossible.
