Cinergy Entertainment Breaks Ground on $45M Complex, Creates 200 Jobs in Corpus Christi

Cinergy Entertainment has broken ground on a $45 million, 90,000-square-foot entertainment complex near South Padre Island Drive and Rodd Field Road in Corpus Christi, Texas, with construction expected to begin by the end of 2025 and completion projected by September 2028. The facility will feature movies, arcades, bowling, sports bars, themed escape rooms, and luxury cinemas, creating approximately 200 jobs, including 13 full-time management roles, thereby providing significant employment opportunities for the local community. The city is incentivizing the project with up to $4.15 million in tax rebates over 15 years, anticipating that the development will generate about $4 million for the city and $17 million in taxes for local entities during the agreement period. CEO Jeff Benson announced a second phase that includes a 40,000-square-foot, three-level indoor electric go-kart track and an adult mini golf course, aiming to develop a comprehensive resort entertainment center for residents and visitors. City Council District 4 representative Kaylynn Paxson emphasized the project's pivotal role for Corpus Christi, underscoring its importance to the Southside community. Overall, the new complex is positioned to fill an under-served market and become a key entertainment destination in the city.
