Denver Summit FC, Denver's new National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team, was named following a fan-driven vote that generated over 15,000 responses. The club's branding features green mountains and a red-and-gold sunset, with the crest's 26-degree mountain angle marking its inaugural 2026 season. The team will play its first two seasons at a temporary stadium in Centennial before moving to a $70 million, 14,500-seat permanent stadium at Santa Fe Yards in 2028, with the ownership group investing up to $200 million in construction. The team resolved a naming conflict with the Colorado Summit ultimate frisbee team, which will rebrand, and both organizations plan future collaboration. Community engagement is central to the club's approach, with a launch party planned and ongoing input invited. Denver Summit FC will join Boston Legacy to expand the NWSL to 16 teams next season.
