Carnival Opens $600M Celebration Key in Bahamas

Carnival Cruise Line has officially opened Celebration Key, a $600 million private destination on Grand Bahama, with nearly 5,000 guests arriving aboard the Carnival Vista for the inaugural event. The opening featured a marching band, fireworks, and appearances by Carnival executives and Shaquille O'Neal. Celebration Key spans up to 379 acres and includes five themed zones, such as the family-oriented Starfish Lagoon and adult-focused Calypso Lagoon, as well as the 10-story Suncastle with waterslides. The site offers over 30 food and beverage venues, a mile-long white-sand beach, and amenities like trams and beach wheelchairs for easy access. Designed to handle large crowds efficiently, it provides direct access to Grand Bahama and has plans for expansion. The project aims to deliver significant economic benefits to the Bahamas while offering a sustainable and luxurious experience for Carnival guests.
