Mastodon 4.3 Update and Fread Launch

Mastodon has released its 4.3 update, introducing significant improvements to the user experience with features such as grouped notifications, making it easier to manage and view interactions on the platform. Users can now better filter notifications, allowing them to ignore or separate messages from new or non-followed accounts, and receive alerts about moderation actions affecting their accounts. The update also enhances the design, with improvements in the post composer, color palette, and personalized recommendations for discovering new users. In addition, Mastodon is working to improve the onboarding experience by refining its follow recommendations. Meanwhile, Fread, a decentralized microblogging client, has been launched, offering support for Mastodon and RSS feeds, and plans to integrate more protocols in the future, aiming to provide a unified experience in decentralized social networking.
