Netflix Announces 8-Episode Vladimir Series Starring Woodall, Weisz

Netflix is developing an 8-episode limited series adaptation of Julia May Jonas' novel "Vladimir," starring and executive produced by Rachel Weisz. Leo Woodall, known for his roles in "The White Lotus" Season 2 and Netflix’s "One Day," will play the titular character, a charismatic young novelist who becomes the object of Weisz’s character's obsession. The story follows a college English professor whose life unravels amidst her husband’s scandal and her increasing infatuation with Vladimir, blending dark humor, seduction, and suspense. Julia May Jonas adapted her novel for the screen and serves as an executive producer alongside Weisz, Sharon Horgan, and others, with 20th Television producing. Filming is expected to begin later this year, continuing Netflix’s trend of high-profile, provocative limited series that explore complex characters and taboo themes. This project marks another collaboration for Woodall with Netflix, following his acclaimed role in "One Day."
